01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Grasp was a London-based edtech startup founded in 2022 by early Revolut employees Ed Matthews and Jacob Sidorov. Its online platform aimed to increase the rate at which humans learn: a decade from now, the mission was to be the centre of learning, able to take anyone from novice to master in a field. It started with modern vocational skills like programming. In August 2023 it raised a EUR 3.6 million (about $4 million) seed round led by Balderton Capital.
