01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Tomato.ai is an AI voice-clarity startup co-founded by CEO Ofer Ronen and CTO James Fan. Its flagship product softens call-center agents' accents in real time: speech-to-speech models encode the agent's voice, adjust pronunciation-related features and decode it back, so offshore agents sound clearer to customers while keeping their own voice identity. A companion tool recreates the speaker's voice while stripping background noise. The software runs locally on agent PCs and plugs into Zoom, Teams and Meet; Telus Digital deployed it across its offshore call centers.
