01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
SetJam was a New York startup building the future of TV. Founded in June 2009 by Ryan Janssen, it began as a consumer-facing video aggregation service similar to Clicker, collecting TV shows and movies scattered across the web into one guide. It later shifted to a business-to-business product: customizable TV and movie widgets for embedding on websites, plus a REST API and a normalized database of TV metadata.
