01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
vMocion was an entertainment-technology company formed by Hillstrom Media Technology and Mayo Clinic to commercialize Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation (GVS): its 3v Platform used patented algorithms to stimulate the inner ear in sync with what users saw on screen, creating a real sensation of three-dimensional motion in VR, AR, games, and films — and eliminating VR motion sickness for most users. The company held the exclusive, global, perpetual license to Mayo Clinic's GVS patents for media and entertainment, later launching the VFORCE wearable for gamers. It raised $3 million, last in a January 2024 seed round, and has since shut down.
