01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
ThreatKey was a New York cloud-security startup founded in 2020 by Jonathan Haas (CEO; previously led Security Operations at Carta, DoorDash and Snapchat) and Carlos Beltran (CTO). Its security posture management platform analyzed logs and configurations from third-party tools to find and fix misconfigurations across SaaS apps (Zoom, Slack, Teams, Office 365, Google Workspace) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) — giving customers a fast read on what was broken, plus compliance reporting and third-party risk reduction. It raised about $4M from Gaingels, Alumni Ventures, 10X Capital, Basecamp Fund and Firestreak Ventures, with ~11 employees. PitchBook records ThreatKey as acquired on July 2, 2025 (buyer undisclosed in public sources).
