What the company did
Pledge Earth Technologies (Pledge) was a London-based climate-tech SaaS startup founded in 2021 by David de Picciotto, Andre M., Thomas Lucas and Pierre Vaidie. Its cloud platform automated the collection of shipment data from logistics suppliers and calculated and reported CO2e emissions across air, sea, road, rail and inland-waterway transport plus logistics hubs — accredited reporting aligned with the GLEC framework and ISO 14083. Customers included freight forwarders and cargo owners needing Scope 3 emissions reporting; partners included WCA World, BIFA and FIATA.
