01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Neuro-ID built a behavioral analytics platform that turned users' 'digital body language' into fraud and friction signals. Its Friction Index Platform used a JavaScript installation to reveal points of friction, hesitation, and confidence as applicants interacted with online quote or claim processes — scoring whether applicants were genuine or risky based on how they typed and navigated, without collecting personal data. Founded in 2010 in Whitefish, Montana, by scientists who found a link between indecision and anomalous neuro-motor responses, and led by CEO Jack Alton, the company served financial services, insurance, gaming, retail, and telco customers. It partnered with TransUnion from 2020, with its technology integrated into TransUnion's TruValidate suite.
