HappsNow
The business, the turning points, and the decisions behind them.
01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
HappsNow, built by Ryan McCann's Velle Technology in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, was a cloud-based event platform that combined self-service ticketing, event marketing and event management in one branded marketplace, giving organizers access to data, buyer-behavior insights and analytics to increase revenue and reduce financial risk on live events. Originally conceived as a mobile app for college-campus event discovery and promotion, it pivoted to a ticketing and analytics platform and went through Techstars in 2021.
