01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Ostro was a Miami-based healthcare engagement platform founded in 2019 by CEO Chase Feiger, MD. Its conversational-AI chat tool let patients and healthcare professionals ask questions on pharma brand websites and receive instant, MLR-compliant answers drawn only from approved materials, then used engagement data to give brands insights on reach and engagement. It was used by more than half of the top 20 global pharma companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca and Sanofi, and raised over $55 million (a $45M round in late 2022 from Founders Fund, Greycroft, Byers Capital, Caffeinated Capital, Bling Capital, Trust Ventures and RRE).
