What the company did
Delicious (del.icio.us) was a pioneering social bookmarking website founded in 2003. Users saved, tagged and shared web bookmarks, and its tagging system influenced later services like Flickr, Twitter and Pinterest. Yahoo bought it in 2005 for a reported $15 to $30 million, then largely neglected it; over the years it changed hands five times, passing to AVOS Systems in 2011, Science Inc in 2014 and Delicious Media in 2016.
