01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Morphimmune was an early-stage biotechnology company developing targeted oncology therapeutics through its proprietary Targeted Effector platform, which selectively delivers payloads to diseased cells to reduce toxicity and increase efficacy. Founded on the research of scientific co-founder Philip S. Low, the Purdue University chemistry professor who previously founded Endocyte (acquired by Novartis for $2.1 billion), Morphimmune was led from March 2023 by CEO Clay Siegall, the former Seagen CEO. In June 2023 Immunome announced a definitive merger agreement to acquire Morphimmune via a reverse merger, accompanied by a $125 million private placement.
