What the company did

Awen Collective Ltd was a Welsh industrial cyber security software company based in Caerphilly, South Wales. Founded in 2017, it built software to help industrial organizations reduce the risk of cyber attacks on operational technology (OT) environments such as SCADA systems, PLCs and industrial IoT devices. Its two products were Profile, a compliance-checking tool for critical national infrastructure providers and their supply chains under the Europe-wide NIS Directive, and Dot, an asset and vulnerability discovery system for industrial OT networks. The company worked with clients including Raytheon, UK water companies and the UK Ministry of Defence, and was acquired by UK cyber security firm Sapphire in 2023.
