01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
BeyondPlay was a London-based B2B iGaming software venture founded in 2021 by Karolina Pelc, focused on player engagement. It offered two flagship products: a Jackpot Management System delivering content-agnostic, customisable jackpot campaigns, and Multiplayer Software letting multiple users join the same casino game session, pool stakes and share the entertainment experience. It raised about $6.35 million across two rounds (including an oversubscribed €5 million round led by Bettor Capital), secured supplier operating licenses in the UK, Malta, Ontario and Sweden, and partnered with leading game studios. In February 2024 it was acquired by FanDuel and became part of FanDuel Casino (part of Flutter Entertainment), to strengthen its jackpots and multiplayer technology - an acquisition, not a shutdown.
