01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
OmniML, founded in 2021 in San Jose, California by co-founder and CEO Di Wu, built ML model compression software that made artificial intelligence run on low-power edge devices such as smart cameras and drones. Its technology created smaller, faster machine learning models - including large language models - enabling up to ten-times faster AI inference on devices that lacked the computing power for large models.
