01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
FlowMSP was a software-as-a-service platform for pre-incident planning in the fire service. Fire departments used it to create detailed, image-based pre-plans of buildings in about five minutes, covering hydrants, water flow, building data, contacts and special hazards, and the plans were pushed to firefighters' mobile devices through dispatch notifications the moment a call came in. It also offered water-asset management tools for mapping hydrants and mains. The company was founded in Park Ridge, Illinois, by Jason Marvel.
