Ocurate was a Silicon Valley machine learning startup that used AI to predict customer lifetime value for e-commerce businesses. Founded in July 2023 by Tobi Konitzer, the former co-founder and CEO of PredictWise, it built a SaaS deep machine learning framework optimized over a proprietary database — starting with voter rolls and growing to data from more than 300,000 Americans, combined with client data — that exceeded 90% accuracy in predicting customer behavior. Within five months it was working with four clients with dozens in the pipeline and had brought in over $400,000 in annual recurring revenue, with a claimed potential to increase gross profit by over 15%. It raised an oversubscribed $3.5 million seed round from 8-Bit Capital, DCF Capital, Data Community Fund, AIX Ventures, Italmobiliare, and Streamlined Ventures. On October 21, 2024, it was acquired by Fenix Commerce, the San Jose-based eCommerce conversion-rate platform, to extend Fenix's AI and data capabilities.
