01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Nototo was a Vancouver-based startup building a spatial note-taking workspace inspired by the memory palace technique. Founded by Chen Wang and Austa Jiang, it joined Y Combinator's Summer 2020 batch with a three-person team. The app let users organize all their notes and information on a single visual map instead of nested folders, with a text editor, real-time collaboration and kanban views.
