What the company did
ReNAgade Therapeutics, launched in 2023 in Massachusetts, set out to become a one-stop shop for RNA medicines, combining novel lipid nanoparticles and other delivery technologies with coding, editing and gene-insertion tools in an all-RNA platform. Led by Moderna veterans, it raised a $300 million Series A in May 2023 and formed a joint venture with circular-RNA company Orna Therapeutics that drew in Merck as the first customer. In May 2024 Orna acquired ReNAgade and the two merged under the Orna name.
