01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
NuWealth was a London-based digital savings and investment app aimed at novice investors, founded in 2017 by Grayson Hill, Henry Kurtze, and Kane Harrison (CEO). Formerly known as Wombat Invest, it offered ISAs, a general investment account, a savings account, and learning resources, letting users invest in stocks, themed funds, and ETFs from as little as £10. It raised £4.21 million, including a Series A led by Fuel Ventures. In September 2024, wealth manager Quilter acquired NuWealth from Monese Ltd and Fuel Ventures for undisclosed terms, aiming to evolve it into a digital guidance proposition for advisers; in October 2025 the app was rebranded as Quilter Invest.
