01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
SafeBase was a San Francisco trust center platform founded in 2020 by Al Yang and Adar Arnon after meeting at Harvard Business School, and incubated by Y Combinator. It streamlined software security reviews: AI models trained on security documentation automatically read, interpreted and answered security questionnaires that organizations kick off before buying new software, while a rules engine managed customer access and dashboards showed analytics on the company's security posture. It had over 1,000 customers including LinkedIn, Palantir and CrowdStrike, and raised $53.1 million.
