01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Nude Finance was a Scottish fintech app that helped first-time buyers save for their first home. Founded in 2019 by former actuary Crawford Taylor, Marty Bell, Kate McKay, and Stephen Doherty, it combined a savings account, a financial coach, and an app to help young people understand their finances and the home-buying process — including a Lifetime ISA. It raised around £3.9 million on Seedrs in 2020 and £3.4 million more, reaching about 20,000 active customers. The company was acquired by London-based digital mortgage broker Tembo Money in an FCA-approved deal.
