The business, the turning points, and the decisions behind them.
01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Kindora was a Dublin-based online marketplace for buying, selling and renting premium pre-owned children's goods - cots, strollers, nursery furniture, toys and highchairs. Every item was screened and deep-cleaned before resale. It was founded in August 2020 by Sarah Ouellette with co-founder Barry Hanley, joined Techstars' 2021 London cohort (the first female-led Irish company in the program), and raised a 500,000 euro round led by investor Heather Morris. It was named Start-up of the Year Ireland 2021 by Enterprise Nation.
