What the company did
Factmata was a London AI startup founded in 2017 by Dhruv Ghulati, based on his UCL research into automated fact-checking. Using natural language processing and machine learning, it built tools to detect misinformation, bias, clickbait, hate speech and misleading narratives across news, social media and web content, offered via a SaaS narrative-monitoring platform, an API and the Trusted News browser extension.
