01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Trustpage was a Detroit, Michigan startup founded in 2020 by CEO Chase Lee, offering an AI-assisted platform to automate security reviews. Its 'dynamic trust centers' let software vendors share their security posture — compliance, data security, privacy, reliability, infrastructure — in one place, and its question-answering extension could complete entire customer security questionnaires in minutes, replacing email-and-spreadsheet back-and-forth. Over 5,300 companies were mapped by its AI security scanner. It raised a $5 million seed round in November 2021 led by Bonfire Ventures, Ludlow Ventures and Detroit Venture Partners. In January 2023 Trustpage was acquired by security compliance company Vanta for an undisclosed sum.
