What the company did

Beyond Protocol was a Silicon Valley distributed-ledger-technology startup founded in 2018 by Jonathan Manzi (previously of Ink Labs and Vintage Network), building what he called 'a new internet for devices'. It developed a DLT system meant to be more resistant to cyberattacks: a single line of code that enabled secure messaging between hardware devices (regardless of their specs), installed a crypto-based payment gateway in them, and used unique hardware signatures to make inter-device communication 'probabilistically unhackable'. Named partners included Cisco, DoorDash, Stripe, the EU and Huobi, with strategic token holders like Rob Gronkowski, Steve Aoki and Cage the Elephant. It issued the BEYOND token (ERC-20, 500 million max supply), listed on exchanges such as Gate.io, and reported overall funding of up to $15 million. No public source documents a shutdown or failure.
