01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Veo Robotics was a Boston-based robotics company developing FreeMove, a 3D depth-sensing computer vision system for safeguarding industrial workcells. FreeMove's patented sensors and software monitor collaborative robot workcells to dynamically anticipate the future position of humans and objects, autonomously restricting or resuming robot motion — the only intelligent 3D robotic safeguarding solution to meet EU safety standards (ISO 13849 PLd, Category 3). The company raised $57 million from investors including Siemens, Google Ventures and Lux Capital.
