01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
PerShop was a Y Combinator-backed personalized shopping startup in San Francisco, co-founded by CEO Amol Jain and CTO Tony Dong (ex-Twitter, Periscope and TellApart). It was a personalized shopping site that recommended only items from the user's favourite brands, in their size and price range; it planned to eventually sell personalized, targeted e-commerce ads and to get smarter as people used it.
