OSlash
The business, the turning points, and the decisions behind them.
01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
OSlash was an enterprise productivity startup founded in 2020 by Ankit Pansari and Shoaib Khan, with offices in Bengaluru and San Francisco. Its flagship product turned long URLs into short, memorable team shortcuts (o/roadmap, o/allhands) via a browser extension, and it later built a universal search tool for workplace information. It raised $2.5 million from Accel in September 2021 and a $5 million post-seed round in March 2022 at a $50 million valuation, backed by operators such as CRED's Kunal Shah, YouTube's Christian Oestlien and Notion's Akshay Kothari.
02 / OSlash FAILURE REASONS
Failure reasons
The flagship shortcuts product never found commercial success, the company said in its farewell blog post. 'After a three-year journey, we're wrapping up operations at OSlash,' it announced, adding: 'While painful, sunsetting OSlash will allow us to return capital to our investors with dignity and humility.'
