01 / WHAT IT BUILT

What the company did

SlashNext was an AI-native email security company founded in 2017 by Atif Mushtaq, one of the main architects of FireEye's core malware sandbox technology. Its predictive AI detected and neutralized advanced phishing and social engineering attacks—business email compromise, spear-phishing, QR-code and multistep scams—across email, SMS and messaging channels such as WhatsApp, Slack and Teams, with a reported 99% detection accuracy. It raised about $40.5 million from investors including Norwest Venture Partners, Wing Venture Capital, Telia and Alter Venture Partners.
