Gigs Live
The business, the turning points, and the decisions behind them.
01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Gigs Live was a US hybrid concert platform offering professionally produced live music performances both online and at venues nationwide. Founded by former executives from ViacomCBS, NBC and Amazon under CEO Ashutosh (Ash) Nayak, its cloud-based technology stack streamed in up to 4K with multichannel audio to smartphones, tablets, laptops, game consoles and TVs. It launched with artists including Justin Moore, Daughtry and A R I Z O N A, positioning each concert as a stop on a world tour, with ticket-holders able to replay shows online and a couple of songs from each concert released free.
