What the company did
Dev Tools AI is a San Francisco-based startup founded in 2022 by Chris Navrides, part of Y Combinator's Summer 2022 batch. It builds AI-powered automation for web and mobile app testing: developers write tests by drawing a box over a screenshot, and computer vision finds elements like search boxes and buttons - even inside web games - without digging through page source code. Its platform also fixes flaky UI tests by automatically detecting and repairing broken locators and selectors, and tests pages for crawl errors such as broken links, 404s and console errors. The company raised $500K in a convertible note in September 2022 from Y Combinator, Pioneer Fund and Goodwater Capital.
