01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
NeuralFabric built back-end software that let enterprises build and run their own generative AI models. Its platform enabled organizations to develop domain-specific small language models (SLMs) trained on their own proprietary data, deployable across SaaS and on-premise environments. Founded in 2023 in Redmond, Washington, by former Microsoft veterans including Weijie Lin (CEO), John deVadoss, Jesus Rodriguez, and Mark Baciak, it raised $5 million in a February 2024 pre-seed round. In November 2025 Cisco announced it would acquire the company to strengthen its AI Canvas initiative and enterprise AI software portfolio.
