What the company did
Open Raven was a Los Angeles-based data management and security company led by CEO Dave Cole, the former Chief Product Officer of Tenable and CrowdStrike. Its Data Security Platform automated multi-cloud data security: working at cloud scale with real-time monitoring and 3D mapping, it gave organizations 360-degree visibility into their cloud data to prevent attacks and data loss, cut unnecessary costs and risks, and streamline compliance.

On June 11, 2024 Formstack announced the acquisition of Open Raven to add data discovery, classification and visibility to its workflow platform; financial terms were not disclosed and Open Raven CEO Dave Cole became Formstack's Chief Technology Officer.
