01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Lilia was a Y Combinator-backed egg-freezing concierge founded by Alyssa Atkins. Born from Atkins' own frustrating experience researching egg freezing, the company acted as a single point of contact for women: building a personal fertility profile from egg count, menopause timing and age, matching them with vetted doctors, researching insurance coverage and handling bookings — at nearly half the price and half the time of an average IVF procedure, coordinated to make the experience less isolating.
