Carnegie Mellon computer science graduates Evan DeSantola and Alex Litzenberger found Agot AI in Pittsburgh to apply computer vision to restaurant kitchens.
- Funding round
Agot raises a $12 million round with Conti Ventures, the Kitchen Fund, Grit Ventures and Yum! Brands participating, bringing disclosed funding to about $27.4 million.
- Acquisition
In April 2025 Agot is acquired by HM Electronics (HME), a drive-thru communications provider; the deal powers HME's Nitro Vision AI launch and is described as a successful exit.
