01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
NetSpring built a warehouse-native analytics platform that ran directly inside customers' cloud data warehouses — Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift — without extracting data. This let enterprises tie product and marketing analytics to business metrics while maximizing speed, minimizing cost, and protecting data privacy. The platform supported both traditional BI and event-centric customer journey analytics. Founded in 2019 by the team behind BI leader ThoughtSpot (CEO Vijay Ganesan), it served large enterprise deployments before being acquired by Optimizely in September 2024.
