01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
RecruitLoop was an Australian recruitment marketplace founded in January 2011 by Michael Overell, Denis Zubkov, Paul Slezak and Garry Visontay. It offered companies 'elastic recruiting' through a marketplace of independent recruiters and sourcers working on demand — a zero-commission, hourly-priced model claiming to cut traditional recruiting costs to a tenth. It launched in Australia in late 2011, opened a San Francisco office in 2013, and at its peak had recruiters operating across 40 countries serving businesses in 100 countries. Clients included eBay and Canon.
