01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Tree.ly is an Austrian forest-carbon platform based in Dornbirn, founded in 2021 by Jodok Batlogg. It develops certified forest climate protection projects across Europe — in Austria, Germany and beyond — working with forest owners, municipalities and corporations. Projects are third-party certified and audited annually by TÜV under the ISO-certified SILVACONSULT methodology, using geospatial engines, machine-learning stock measurement and species detection. Within a year it had 105,299 hectares under contract storing over 2.8 million tons of CO2, matching forest owners with corporate buyers of high-quality regional carbon credits. In July 2024 it raised a €5 million seed round led by PortfoLion Capital Partners.
