01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Yoello, founded in Cardiff, UK in 2017 by Sina Yamani, built a mobile order-and-pay platform for hospitality and retail. Customers scanned a QR code to browse menus, order to the table and pay without downloading an app; the company later added open-banking payments that cut out card middlemen. Named the UK's top-growing fintech in 2021, it served thousands of venues including Burger King and Subway across six countries before Epos Now acquired it in December 2024.
