01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Naetion was a Copenhagen-based web3 startup founded in 2021 by Alexander Rindom-Andersen, Buddhika Perera and Christian Petroske. It set out to build an on-chain professional network operating at the intersection of consumer and crypto, giving mainstream users a foothold in web3 work. Its product suite included HAELP, a decentralized network where creators and service providers could showcase and sell their skills while retaining their full earnings; Paeyroll, a payroll and HR tool for web3 startups with global compliance; and Monaey, a neobank-style product for accessing Naetion earnings. In May 2022 the company announced a $150 million commitment from digital-asset investment firm GEM Digital, one of the largest web3 funding announcements in Denmark that year. The native $NTN token and related products never reached mainstream adoption, and the company faded from public view with no operating product left.
