01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Watchsend was a Y Combinator Summer 2013 startup founded by Ishaan Gulrajani and Zain Shah, billed as 'Clicktale for mobile'. It let app developers remotely record users' mobile screen interactions - taps, swipes, presses and full action timelines - so they could watch users in action and refine their apps. Sensitive pages like credit-card entry could be marked private and pixelated; the service was priced at $19 per month for 100-500 recordings and $69 for 500-3,000.
