01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Jack & Bry, founded in 2019 in London by Bryony Tinn-Disbury and Jennifer Pardoe, was a food-technology company making plant-based meat alternatives from jackfruit — pepperoni, burgers, sausages and what it called the world's first unbreaded jackfruit fish fillet. Its products reached over 1,000 UK restaurants and the online grocer Ocado. The operating company Big Yard Ltd, trading as Jack & Bry, entered creditors' voluntary liquidation in January 2024.
