What the company did
Intersphere, founded in 2020 in Fort Collins, Colorado, was an environmental services company using proprietary AI models to issue weather and climate forecasts from weeks to years into the future. Its subseasonal-to-seasonal forecasting served customers in energy, insurance and agriculture making strategic decisions on weather risk, and the company was backed by National Science Foundation grants. Climavision acquired Intersphere in April 2024 to fold its AI forecasting into its high-resolution weather models.
