01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
SeaLights (Sealights) was a SaaS-based, AI-powered software quality intelligence platform founded in July 2015 by CEO Eran Sher and Alon Eizenman. It gave large enterprises metrics, traceability and insights to meet quality gates and ship software quickly: agents mapped code to tests and evaluated what had changed, then machine learning identified quality risks during releases — so teams could run only the tests related to changed code, cut test cycle times by up to 90%, block untested code from reaching production, and make smarter go/no-go release decisions. It raised about $50 million, including a $30 million Series A in 2021, from Red Dot Capital, Deutsche Bank, Translink Capital, Shasta Ventures, Blumberg Capital, Cisco Investments, TLV Partners and Wipro Ventures. In July 2024, Tricentis acquired SeaLights for an undisclosed price; Sher joined Tricentis as EVP and general manager of Quality Intelligence.
