What the company did

Carebeans was a UK-based healthcare operations software company founded in 2019 by CEO Nick Lawford. It offered a cloud-based (SaaS) care planning and management platform for residential and nursing care homes and the full spectrum of supported living, including domiciliary care, disability and mental health services. It was one of the first digital care-planning providers of its kind to be added to the National Health Service's assured supplier list. Backed by River Capital (invested December 2021) and the Development Bank of Wales, it opened a second office in Monmouth, acquired the trade and assets of software business Standex Systems, and joined the NHS Assured Solutions List before being acquired by RLDatix, the global leader in connected healthcare operations software, in July 2024.
