01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
JOBOX.ai was a Florida- and Bay Area-based home services marketplace founded in 2016 by Shay Bloch, Kaushik Pendurthi and Moshe Levi, using AI-based infrastructure to connect companies with over 5,000 vetted home service professionals. On one side, professionals got a free mobile toolbox to run their small businesses; on the other, 50+ large organizations outsourced repair work matched by skill set and location. The company took a cut of each completed job transaction and processed over $2 billion in transaction volume. It raised about $57 million across six rounds, including a $42 million Series B in April 2022 led by General Catalyst, and was acquired by Talus Pay, a payment-processing company.
