01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company does
Resilience Lab is a New York-based mental health-tech company co-founded by practicing therapist and Columbia University professor Christine Carville and technology entrepreneur Marc Goldberg. Its model enables communities of clinicians to collaborate to improve patient access and outcomes: a 'Resilience Institute' postgraduate training platform that closes the gap between academic training and real-world practice for early-career therapists, plus technology that automates non-clinical workload. It was in-network with Aetna, UnitedHealthcare and Humana, serving more than 50 million Americans across five northeastern states. Note: no failure evidence was found and the company appears active — it may not belong in a failure museum.
