What the company did
Blocktorch was a Berlin-based Web3 observability platform founded in 2022 by Amine Afia and Gerald Pollak. It gave Web3 engineering teams real-time tracing, logging and monitoring for smart contracts and decentralized applications, letting developers query logs, traces and metrics across a dApp's full stack, set metric- and event-based monitors, and resolve anomalies in minutes. The company raised $4.2 million in seed funding in May 2023, led by IDEO CoLab Ventures with participation from Speedinvest, RockawayX and Alchemy Ventures, and was acquired by thirdweb in June 2024.
