01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Hopscotch is a New York-based community-oriented B2B payments platform founded in June 2021 by CEO Reed Switzer (a Wharton dropout) and COO Rick Kleczkowski. It helps small businesses and freelancers manage accounts payable and receivable: instant, fee-free payments between users and non-users alike, invoicing via profile or email, scheduling, reminders, QuickBooks integration and fraud prevention via Plaid. Its Hopscotch Flow feature lets users finance invoices in two clicks. It raised $9.95 million, including a $6.1 million seed extension in March 2022 co-led by Shine Capital and Stellation Capital.
