Yahoo Kickstart was closed amid Yahoo’s product cutting spree and framed the college/alumni professional network as undifferentiated versus Facebook and LinkedIn (a job board disguised as a social network), with weeks of downtime preceding the shutdown.
Shutdown placed in Yahoo’s cutting spree that also shuttered Y!Live and Jumpcut.
Coverage stated Facebook and LinkedIn already covered the ground and Kickstart brought little new.
